BONTEHEUWEL COMMUNITY PROJECT

VIRIBUSCONSULT has been approached by four dynamic ladies from Bonteheuwel to offer assistance with the development and implementation of an Urban Agri-project. Although they have been producing vegetables for the community’s feeding programs and soup kitchens for several years, they now want to expand into the commercial arena.

Their aim is to use the project as a vehicle for skills transfer, job creation, restoration of hope and dignity, and to restore the nutritional wellbeing of their community.
Suerita Ernstzen as the driving force behind the team together with Elmarie Strauss, Patricia Everts and Terresa Boltney have registered a non-profit orginisation, Creative Community Forum NPO, to act as the vehicle in which they pursue this dream.

They have entered into a 5-year land-use agreement with the Bonteheuwel High School and are in the process of implementing their plan on just less than 1ha of the school terrain.
Potential project partners have been approached to assist in project development and implementation, irrigation equipment, technical advice and undertakings for off-take of products.
We are proud to be associated with this project, as we believe this could be a show-case example of how a community gets involved, and in partnership with others, restore and support themselves.
Well done Suerita and team!!

On a beautiful Monday morning BLAAUWKLIPPEN WINE ESTATE opened their gates to the founding members of VIRIBUSCONSULT to have a photoshoot for our brand new website. This is truly a new season and we are  optimistic in  anticipating sustainable growth in the Agri Sector.

With lots of fun and laughter  the morning went by like a breeze. Our thanks to Stefan and Gardi, owners of KORINGKRIEK PHOTOGRAPY who played a major role in the event by applying their creativity and 'out of the box' thinking.  Be sure to contact them for all your photographic needs.

We are grateful  to Hamm & Uys Eatery at Blaauwklippen that offered the perfect ambiance.
